Video Experts Group Introduces an Alternative to VLC Chrome Plug-In

In the past, many plug-ins were developed using an old interface called NPAPI (Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface)  and many websites still use it. Google permanently removed NPAPI support from Chrome which affected all NPAPI based extensions. VLC Chrome plug-in is one of such examples and it does not work in Google Chrome anymore, even though it was the most popular video plug-in for Chrome.

“At this moment there are no solutions for playback of such streams as RTSP, UDP, TS and many others in Chrome browser, except using VXG Chrome Media Player Plug-in” says Konstantin Ryashentsev, CTO at Video Experts Group. “Not saying about the flexibility and full playback control that provides our plug-in through its API”

VXG Chrome Media Player Plug-in by Video Experts Group enables video on a web page, including those highly demanded in security industry applications, like RTSP monitoring in a browser, RTMP playback without Flash plug-in, or custom secure video streaming solutions.

VXG Chrome Media Plug-in has all these essential features that make it such a flexible tool:
