Media Invited: Timelooper, Virtual Reality Experience App Launch at Cherry Blossom Festival

The TimeLooper app will launch its Washington, D.C. 360-degree virtual reality experiences during the Cherry Blossom Festival with local students from the District of Columbia, Arlington, VA, and Alexandria, VA. The experiences were created in partnership with the The Close Up Foundation, a non-profit, non-partisan civic education organization, to bring enhance the educational experience for visitors to the monuments and memorials on the National Mall. TimeLooper’s experience will allow visitors to step inside of history at 7 memorials, including the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, FDR Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, and World War II Memorial.  Through the TimeLooper app, users will journey back into history of the people, places, and events represented in the monuments and memorials.

PHOTOS OPS: Opportunities available for photo and interview of local students and teachers using the TimeLooper app and enjoying the monuments and memorials during the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Spokespersons from TimeLooper and the Close Up Foundation will also be available for interviews.

The TimeLooper app is available to download through iTunes App and the Google Play Stores. Virtual reality headsets are available in the Eastern National gift shops on the National Mall. Headsets and the TimeLooper app will be available for the media to demo.
