Lindsay Honda Joins Thousands of Volunteers for Team Honda Week of Service

COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Employees from Lindsay Honda joined more than 10,000 volunteers across North America participating in Honda’s second annual National Week of Service, in which Honda associates, dealers and suppliers conducted volunteer service activities to make a positive impact in their communities.

Lindsay Honda works closely with the Salvation Army year round, and chose Service Week to collect much needed school supplies for the upcoming school year.  The East Main Street chapter has approximately 40 children that will be in need of school supplies this year, and Lindsay employees were able to collect a large portion of those supplies.

“When you think about how many of these kids are in need of everyday items such as school supplies, and you get to see their excitement when they take everything home, it’s rewarding for everyone here,” said Marketing Coordinator, Nicole Kiser.

Lindsay Honda also organized a community cleanup day and collected 40 bags of litter in the areas surrounding the dealership as part of the ongoing partnership with Keep Columbus Beautiful.

“Through this coordinated week of volunteer projects across North America, we are joining Honda in reinforcing the Team Honda spirit of working together to make a difference in the communities where we live and work.  Lindsay Honda and its employees are happy to partner with Salvation Army and East Columbus Business Association to make a positive impact in the community we call home.”

The Week of Service is timed to coincide with the company’s Founder’s Day, which marks the establishment of the first Honda business operation in North America on June 11, 1959.
