Latest PNOmation™ Release by QRS Music Technologies, Inc. Provides Voice Command and Control of the Player Piano

QRS Music Technologies, Inc., home music entertainment innovator and leader in player piano technology, is once again first to market with the latest innovation in player piano automation. By the end of November 2016, QRS will release a software update to its PNOmation3 technology that includes an Amazon skill set to integrate with Amazon’s Echo and Echo Dot, giving customers the ability to control their player piano with simple voice commands. Customers can ask their piano to play, stop, go to the next song, change volume, play their favorite playlist or go right to their favorite song, artist or genre.

The company’s award-winning PNOmation system turns any piano into a player piano that can be controlled by a smart device. Earlier this year, QRS announced the first wearable app for the piano and keyboard market, which won a 2016 Super NAMM Award for Innovation in the music industry. Today’s announcement is another milestone in QRS’ mission to combine tradition with cutting-edge technology to continually enrich the player piano experience.

We are continuously reimagining the possibilities of our player piano technology. With our latest innovation, customers can instantaneously enjoy their favorite music with nothing more than the sound of their voice.

“We are continuously reimagining the possibilities of our player piano technology,” said Thomas A. Dolan, president, QRS Music Technologies, Inc. “While our mobile app allows customers to control their player piano from any mobile device, we recognized quickly that the voice-activated Amazon Echo products presented another opportunity to further remove barriers, including the need to login to an app. With our latest innovation, customers can instantaneously enjoy their favorite music with nothing more than the sound of their voice.”
