CardWorks Opens Third Servicing Facility, the First in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla., June 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — CardWorks Servicing, LLC (“CardWorks”), a leading provider of servicing, operational support, and portfolio management to credit card issuers and installment lenders, today announced the opening of its third operational center in Orlando, Florida.  CardWorks expects to make a $4.2 million capital investment in the area, creating approximately 240 new jobs over the next two years.

Located at 100 Colonial Center Parkway in Lake Mary, the 24/7 facility will occupy 30,000 square feet of [prime] office space, housing back office financial service personnel. The company is actively seeking qualified applicants to fill these positions.

Orlando, with its strong economy and diverse population, was the top choice for CardWorks when deciding where to open our new office, and we look forward to becoming a part of the community,” said Harold Baldauf, Chief Operating Officer of CardWorks.  “We are grateful to the Orlando Economic Partnership, Governor Scott and Seminole County for their support and guidance in making this a smooth process and pleasant experience.”

The Orlando Economic Partnership assisted CardWorks in identifying and touring ideal locations and helped to coordinate labor discussions with local businesses in the region. The organization has also supported CardWorks’ search for potential candidates by connecting the company with workforce and staffing agencies and higher education institutions, as well as assisted with the incentive application and approval process. The State of Florida, Enterprise Florida, and Seminole County were important partners on the project.

“We are proud CardWorks selected the Orlando region for its first expansion into the Southeast,” said Orlando Economic Partnership President and CEO Tim Giuliani. “Orlando’s diverse, multi-lingual workforce and reputation for highly trained customer service professionals continues to provide a positive business climate for companies like CardWorks looking to grow in new markets.”

CardWorks, which is headquartered in Woodbury, New York, has offices in Pittsburgh and Horsham, Pennsylvania in addition to its new Orlando facility. With anticipated hires in Orlando, the company will have more than 1,200 employees across all locations.

Seminole County is proud to welcome a nationally-recognized, leading provider of consumer loan servicing in our County and the State of Florida,” said Seminole County Chairman John Horan. “CardWorks Servicing selected this area over other national competitors because our region delivers a qualified workforce and a solid foundation for their newest site. By selecting Seminole County, CardWorks will enjoy our business-friendly climate while their new employees will enjoy our tremendous quality of life.”

Don Berman, CEO and Founder of CardWorks, added: “For 30 years, we have remained passionate about our people and providing them with the resources they need to earn, learn, and have fun at work.  We look forward to welcoming new talent from the Orlando area to the growing CardWorks family.”
