According to SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates, which defines the minimum human resources (HR) content areas that should be studied by HR students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, the Forbes School of Business & Technology’s BAHRM degree program aligns with SHRM’s core curriculum guidelines. In addition, Ashford students enrolled in the BAHRM degree program who are in their final year, are in good academic standing, and have completed the minimum 500 hours of relevant HR experience are now eligible to apply for the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) examination in their final year of study.
“The SHRM qualification assures organizations that Forbes School of Business and Technology graduates are knowledgeable in the latest HR best practice,” said Dr. Katie Thiry, program chair for the BAHRM degree program in the Forbes School of Business & Technology at Ashford. “Students in the BAHRM program will take courses created by industry professionals and taught by experienced practitioners in the field. Each course is designed to align with SHRM’s education standards, so the program provides students with the education they need to take their career paths to the next level.”
The BAHRM degree program demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the human resources function within modern, complex organizations.
