American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story the new Amazon series produced by Stephen David Entertainment and Alta Loma Entertainment, brought Adolescent on to create the Main Title Sequence. The 10 episode docu-series takes us beyond the covers into the daring mind of Hugh Hefner and chronicles the making of Playboy magazine into one of the world’s most recognized brands.
For the main title, the focus was on creating a look and feel that was classy, deliberate and 100% “Playboy”. Paying homage to iconic Playboy covers, Adolescent restaged the scenes seamlessly. The models were projected onto 3D reliefs, as a result adding dimension and subtle body gesture to make it more playful and alive. The audience follows the curves to seductive 60’s jazz music, ultimately being led to a logo reveal featuring the trailblazer himself. The main title graphics have been integrated into parts of Amazon’s overall marketing campaign.
